Beauty Advent Calendar season in Sweden starts way earlier than December.
By late September, some of the most anticipated calendars are already launching — and some are already selling out.
Since living in Sweden, I've discovered so many Swedish beauty brands that weren't really on my radar before. And as a content creator who spends probably too much time looking at new makeup launches, Advent Calendar season has quickly become one of my favourite times to compare what's actually worth buying.
But here's the thing: I don't think a calendar is automatically a good deal just because the brand says the products inside are “worth 8,000 SEK”.
The real question is:
Would I actually use what's inside?
Especially if, like me, you're mainly here for the makeup.
So I compared some of the most interesting Swedish beauty Advent Calendars for 2026 based on what I would personally want to know before spending my money: price, number of products, full sizes, how much makeup you actually get and the stated retail value.
No complicated beauty maths. Just: what am I paying, and what am I actually getting?
1. CAIA Advent Calendar 2026
Price: 2,995 SEK
Stated value: 8,720 SEK
Products: 31
Full size: 31
Makeup products: 17
Let's start with probably one of the most talked-about Swedish beauty calendars of the year: CAIA.
And CAIA definitely went big for 2026.
There are 25 pouches inside the calendar, but they actually contain 31 products — and all 31 are full size.
That's already a big plus for me.
Even better if makeup is what you're looking for: 17 of the 31 products are makeup.
The calendar includes products such as the Flirty Duo Palette, Tunnel Vision Tubing Mascara, Jelly Fix Tinting Brow Gel, lip pencils, Pinky Gloss, eyeshadow sticks, blush, eyeliner and highlighter.
The rest is a mix of skincare, haircare, body products and beauty tools.
CAIA also says 21 products are new, including four new shades, which makes the calendar more interesting if you already shop from the brand.
Is the CAIA Advent Calendar worth it?
The numbers are impressive.
You're paying 2,995 SEK for a stated product value of 8,720 SEK.
With 31 full-size products, that's roughly 97 SEK per product.
But this is where I think personal preference matters more than the big number printed on the website.
Almost 3,000 SEK is still a lot to spend on an Advent Calendar from one brand.
If CAIA has already been sitting on your wishlist, though, I can absolutely see the appeal. You're getting a lot of full-size products, plenty of makeup and quite a few new launches.
My take: one of the most exciting premium options, especially if you already wanted to try more from CAIA.
2. Make Up Store 30Y Advent Calendar
Price: 1,499 SEK
Stated value: 5,285 SEK
Products: 24
Full size: 24
Makeup focus: Very high
If your reaction to beauty calendars is basically “okay, but where is the makeup?”, this is where things get interesting.
Make Up Store is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the Celebrate Your Icon Advent Calendar, containing 24 full-size products.
And unlike many beauty calendars, this one is actually focused on makeup.
The revealed products include items such as a Longwear Luxe Eyeshadow Stick, Lip Liner Definition Pro, Eternal Pro Eye Pencil, Dew All Day Setting Spray, Colour Shine Lip Balm, Tubing Mascara and makeup brushes.
Basically, you're not spending 1,500 SEK only to open five moisturisers, three shampoos and one mascara.
Is the Make Up Store Advent Calendar worth it?
This one makes a lot of sense to me.
You pay 1,499 SEK and the stated product value is 5,285 SEK.
That's approximately 62 SEK per full-size product.
For someone who actually wants makeup rather than a little bit of everything, I think that's a very interesting proposition.
I'd personally rather have 24 full-size makeup products that I can see myself using than a calendar with a higher total value where half of the products don't fit my routine.
My take: definitely one of the calendars I'd shortlist if makeup is the priority.
3. IsaDora The Advent Calendar 2026
Price: 1,499 SEK
Stated value: 4,016 SEK
Products: 24
Full size: 24
Makeup focus: Very high
IsaDora has taken a similarly straightforward approach for 2026.
You get 24 full-size beauty products for eyes, lips and face.
And honestly? I like that.
Beauty Advent Calendars can sometimes become a random collection of whatever fits inside a box. IsaDora feels much more focused.
Expect products such as lip liners, mascara, primers, eye products, brushes and other makeup essentials.
IsaDora vs Make Up Store
This is an interesting comparison because both calendars cost exactly 1,499 SEK and both contain 24 full-size products.
That means you're paying approximately 62 SEK per product either way.
The difference is the stated retail value.
IsaDora's calendar is valued at 4,016 SEK, while Make Up Store states a value of 5,285 SEK.
I wouldn't automatically choose Make Up Store just because that number is higher, though.
If you already know you love IsaDora formulas and prefer wearable everyday makeup, having products you'll genuinely use matters more than having a theoretically higher saving.
My take: a very practical choice if your makeup style is more everyday than experimental.
4. GlossGods Classified Files Advent Calendar
Price: 999 SEK
Stated value: approx. 4,000 SEK
Products: 24
Full size: 24
Makeup focus: Very high
This is probably the calendar that surprised me the most while comparing everything.
GlossGods is a Swedish indie makeup brand, and their Classified Files calendar costs 999 SEK.
You get 24 full-size products.
And this isn't one of those “beauty” calendars where makeup is almost an afterthought.
The revealed content includes a Drip Stick, That Base Crease Killer, Liquid Sculpt, Diamond Pigment, Lip Oil, four single eyeshadows, a magnetic palette, Liquid Love/Chilluminator, Charmed Water, Freedom Powerliner, Chrome Eyeliner, several makeup brushes, a Pop Palette and the Vintage Glam Eyeshadow Palette.
There are a couple of extras outside the makeup category, but makeup is very clearly the main event.
Is the GlossGods Classified Files Advent Calendar worth it?
The price is what really got my attention.
999 SEK ÷ 24 full-size products = around 42 SEK per product.
The stated total value is approximately 4,000 SEK.
For someone who wants to discover a Swedish makeup brand without spending 2,000–3,000 SEK, I think that's genuinely interesting.
There's one thing I'd consider before buying it: Classified Files mainly contains existing GlossGods favourites.
So if you already own a lot from the brand, you may end up with products or categories you've tried before.
But if GlossGods is new to you — which is my case with quite a few Swedish brands I've discovered since moving here — that's exactly what makes this calendar appealing.
My take: one of the most interesting price-to-product ratios I've seen among Swedish makeup calendars this year.
5. GlossGods Extracelestial Advent Calendar
Price: 2,199 SEK
Stated value: approx. 7,000 SEK
Products: 25
Full size: 25
New product days: 10
GlossGods actually has a second Advent Calendar this year, and this is the bigger one.
Extracelestial contains 25 full-size products and has a stated value of approximately 7,000 SEK.
What makes this version different is the focus on discovery.
According to GlossGods, the calendar contains bestsellers as well as products from completely new categories, with 10 days featuring new products.
It also comes in a reusable beauty bag.
Which GlossGods calendar would I choose?
This really depends on whether you're already familiar with the brand.
At 2,199 SEK, Extracelestial works out at roughly 88 SEK per full-size product.
Classified Files, meanwhile, comes in at around 42 SEK per product.
So purely from a budget perspective, Classified Files is very hard to ignore.
But if you already buy GlossGods and don't want a calendar mostly filled with existing favourites, the new products inside Extracelestial make the higher price easier to understand.
My take: Extracelestial is the more exciting option; Classified Files is the one I'd look at first for value.
6. Hickap Christmas Calendar 2026
Price: 2,399 SEK
Stated value: 6,281 SEK
Products: 30
Full size: 30
Makeup focus: Medium
Hickap is doing something slightly different.
The calendar has 24 doors, but you'll actually find 30 full-size products inside because some doors contain multiple items.
That's a lot of product.
But there's an important difference compared with Make Up Store, IsaDora and GlossGods.
Hickap isn't primarily a makeup calendar.
Instead, you get a mix of makeup, skincare, haircare, body care, fragrance and accessories, including bestsellers, new launches and limited-edition products.
Is the Hickap Advent Calendar worth it?
At 2,399 SEK for 30 full-size products, you're paying roughly 80 SEK per product.
The stated value is 6,281 SEK.
On paper, that's a solid deal.
But it's also a perfect example of why I wouldn't judge an Advent Calendar purely by its retail value.
If you love skincare, makeup, haircare and body products equally, Hickap gives you much more variety.
If you came here because you specifically want makeup, I think the 999–1,499 SEK options from GlossGods, Make Up Store or IsaDora deserve a closer look first.
My take: a better choice for an all-round beauty lover than someone shopping specifically for makeup.
Which Swedish Beauty Advent Calendar Is Actually Worth It?
After comparing all of them, I don't think there's one universal “best” calendar.
It depends on what you actually want to open in December.
If I wanted lots of makeup while keeping my budget under 1,000 SEK, I'd be seriously tempted by GlossGods Classified Files.
If I wanted 24 full-size makeup products from an established Swedish brand, I'd compare Make Up Store and IsaDora product by product.
If I wanted something more premium and already had CAIA on my wishlist, the fact that the 2026 calendar contains 31 full-size products — including 17 makeup products — makes it much more interesting.
If I already loved GlossGods and wanted to discover upcoming products, I'd consider Extracelestial.
And if I wanted a little bit of everything rather than mainly makeup, Hickap would make more sense.
Don't Buy a Beauty Advent Calendar Just for the “Value”
This is probably my biggest tip.
Don't let a huge “worth 8,000 SEK!” number make the decision for you.
I always ask myself one very simple question:
Would I actually buy these products separately?
Because 8,000 SEK worth of products you never wanted isn't necessarily a bargain.
Meanwhile, a 999 SEK calendar filled with makeup you'll genuinely use might be much better value for you.
And another thing I've learned from living in Sweden: if there's a beauty Advent Calendar you really want, don't assume you can wait until November.
Apparently, Christmas beauty shopping starts in September here.
And judging by how quickly some calendars disappear, I'm starting to understand why.
